We are glad to announce the World Electronic Sports Games Southeast Asia (WESG SEA) is back again for the year 2019. Similar to last year, players will enter through national qualifiers in their home countries. National qualifiers will consist of two components, which are the Online Qualifiers that play up till quarter-finals, and the National Finals where semi-finals and finals for each game category will be completed in a LAN event. Champions from each category will then qualify to the Southeast Asia Regional Finals. This year, we are loosening our nationality restrictions a little by allowing teams to register a maximum of two 'foreign' players. For example, a team from the Philippines will have to register and compete in the Philippine national qualifier and can have a maximum of 2 players that are not of Philippine nationality. The WESG SEA registration period begins today and will last for about a month for most countries. The following are the countries involved in this year's WESG SEA: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam. This year's prize pool is USD $105,000 and will be split between 4 game categories which are: Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Counter Strike: Global Offensive Women's, Dota 2 and Starcraft 2. Register now and get ready to #ElectrifyTheWorldStage.
